A hundred years ago, Henri Bergson wrote that time is open; Tadeusz Sobolewski, cinema critic and historian, adds: Film is the only art form enabling us to see and comprehend that. At the 8th Two Riversides Sobolewski will participate in a special “Cinema lesson” on the issue of time in film.

The 8th Film and Art Festival Two Riversides begins on August 2nd in Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec nad Wisłą. Thanks to cooperation with Film Point Group, the opening day will feature the screening of an excellent film, which received the Palm d’Or at the Cannes festival.

She breaks the taboo, does not fear to ask difficult questions, does not judge poeple’s behaviour but tries to understand it. We will see the retrospective of Małgorzata Szumowska’s directorial work at the 8th Two Riversides Festival.

The viewers are the only jurors at the Film and Art Festival Two Riversides. Without them cinema does not exist, and it is your voice that is most important. If cinema is your passion but not at all your profession – send us your application.

The Oscar of music went to Włodek Pawlik. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has honoured his album “Night in Calisia.” The record is a collaboration between Włodek Pawlik, Randy Brecker (one of the leading American trumpeters), and the Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra under Adam Klocek.
